Microsoft Brand Central
Building a tool for utility and inspiration
The Challenge
Brand Central is an internal tool for Microsoft employees and partners to find assets, guidelines, and other brand materials. Rolling out a brand refresh, the team wanted to launch a reimagined experience, where it could serve as not only a destination for assets, but for fresh inspiration.
My Role
I oversaw the concepting, strategy, and UX design for the tool. This looked like:
Managing a team of strategists across three work streams: UX design, content governance and build
Designing and facilitating workshops and kickoffs with cross-functional teams
Leading sitemap, page types, component requirements
Presenting work to stakeholders and executives
Planning project timelines, resources, milestones
Mapping out a complex site
I helped create a birds-eye-view of the experience to communicate page types and their relationship to one another.
Inspiration at the center
We designed the homepage to highlight the best of the brand.
I helped to facilitate many collaborative workshops and work sessions in Figma.
